What Causes Anxiety?

There are several different reasons why people develop anxiety. These include genetics, early experiences, trauma, and other environmental influences.

The Symptoms of Anxiety

People who suffer from anxiety often feel anxious before certain events, such as speaking in front of others, taking tests, or going into new situations. They also tend to worry about things that haven't happened yet or think about past mistakes.

Treating Anxiety

If you're suffering from anxiety, there are several ways to treat it. You can talk to a doctor, or therapist, about how to manage your symptoms. You can also try some of these natural remedies:

  1. Exercise regularly. Regular exercise helps reduce stress levels and improves mood. Try walking, running, swimming, biking, dancing, yoga, or any other activity that gets your blood pumping.

  2. Get enough sleep. Sleep deprivation makes people irritable and less able to concentrate. Aim for at least seven to eight hours per night.

  3. Eat healthy foods. A diet high in fibre and low in saturated fat can help lower cholesterol and improve digestion. Foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids (such as salmon, tuna, walnuts, and flaxseed oil) can help prevent inflammation.
